Yes, spring has finally arrived, and with it comes the change in schedule—and that means our Tuesday evening training sessions are moving back to the forest, replacing the ‘Promenade Verte’ route!

We’re returning to our old habits: every Tuesday, we’ll set off from the track toward Stockel, Baron d’Huard, 4 Bras, Rouge Cloître, and back up with the stunning sight of the bluebells in early April, ending with the Promenade Verte. It’s the perfect place to soak up some fresh air and work on endurance, power on the hills, or interval training for those who love a challenge!

For runners, spring also means marathon season—when the weather is still cool enough to push your limits. This time, five Kuristo members took on the challenge: Nathias in Rome, Isidro in Ghent, Sacha in Namur, Olivier at his traditional Paris Marathon, and Evelyn in Boston UK, all bringing home new records or impressive results!

See you in the autumn for the next races!

On the other hand, participation in the club’s various races—especially the Challenge events—has been pretty low, with only a few regulars flying the Kuristo colors here and there. The days of massive member turnout for Challenge races seem long gone.

Still, we’re hoping for a strong showing at the two highlight races of the year: the Woluwe 15K and the Brussels 20K!

Let’s hope the new kit—coming soon—will inspire everyone to sport the fresh Kuristo colors at upcoming races! And why not wear it to training sessions too? Showing up in our new gear could be a great way to promote the club.

On a high note, let’s give a warm welcome to the new members who’ve joined us since February: Katy, Evelyn, David, Aurora, Mylène, Dorian, Nordine, Juliet, and Ilias, Tatiana. We hope to see you all often!
