Evelyn, chasing her best self 🏃♀️

You may have crossed paths with her on a Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday without knowing her story. Meet Evelyn, a Kuristo since the start of 2026. Behind her smile lies a driven runner: goals in her sights, audiobooks in her ears, and a simple philosophy — doing at least something always beats doing nothing. From racing in the snow at Spa-Francorchamps to finishing the Brussels marathon, she has no plans to stop there.
How long have you been part of the club?
I've been part of Kuristo since the beginning of 2026, and it was really great to meet new people in the club.
Are you an occasional, regular or hardcore runner?
Normally, I run 3 times a week. I like having a goal to work towards, for example a race.
Your most memorable race memory?
This year, I did a race on the Spa-Francorchamps Formula 1 track in the snow. I also ran the Brussels marathon last year.
Do you prefer trail or city races?
City races because I love exploring new places.
What motivates you to go running even when you don't feel like it?
I like running to de-stress and for my well-being. I know that no matter how much I don't want to go, I will always feel better for having done it. For me, trying to do at least something is better than doing nothing.
Do you run more for performance or for fun?
A bit of both. I'm very competitive, so I want to improve my pace or get the best out of myself. That said, most races are for fun.
Music or silence on your runs?
It depends. But sometimes I like listening to an audiobook, or if it's a race, then music.
Your favourite workout?
I like running on the track because it's new for me and I can see my running improve. It's also really nice to be able to do it together, but each at their own pace.
Thank you, Evelyn, for this portrait! A snowy race at Spa, a marathon in Brussels, and a track she sees as her personal playground for progress — we love her mindset: competitive but always smiling. If you haven't met her yet, come along to a training session, each at their own pace, just as she says. And if you'd like to share your own portrait, let us know — we can't wait to meet you!
