La Bruxelloise race: the Sunday morning mutiny

Seeing the crowds at training last week, we suspected something was brewing. But witnessing such a flood of Kuristos at a leg of the club challenge
 it was almost suspicious!

Yes, the Brussels race was on home turf, and yes, it was at the usual Sunday morning time. Except that normally, at that hour, the pack looks more like a secret meeting of three heroic souls who agreed to sacrifice their lie-in to punish their running shoes and rack up the kilometres.

What caused this miracle around the Fallon stadium? The noble call of a good cause, or the start of a full-blown mutiny against the Sunday lie-in to conquer the top of the club challenge rankings? We're keeping our fingers (and our shoelaces) tightly crossed that it lasts. While the future decides, let's savour the moment and tip our hats to all the Kuristos who generously soaked their jerseys with sweat on Sunday, October 4th.

Spotting them, among others: Julie's almost complete family, freshly retired Benoßt, the ever-sprightly Jean-Paul, newcomers Déborah and Mercedes, the (race) returnee Saïd, the focused Annika (whom we'd love to see back at training), the guru Christian, the Romanian-NATO couple Viana and Cosmin, marathoners Evelyn and Quentin, the ever-cheerful translator Vassilis, the smiling Natalia and Gilles, joined by Sarah, and last but not least, the big trail fan Valentin and his little one Arwen.
